HIGH PRIORITY ISSUES (5)
|
2/5/2008 If you drop a student from a class and then remove them from the class after that - you will have two refunds for that class - which can have you refunding the student too much money. The workaround is to remove one of the refunds. Ticket 470076 has been assigned.
9/5/2007 This issue is for those that were live in DASL during 2006/2007 School Year. If you want to remove a course for a certain course from a student's schedule in 2006/2007 you would need to REMOVE the course from the student's schedule. This is not working - the course is removed, but the course history is still there. The workaround is to edit each Course History Record associated with this course on the student's Course History Screen and change their grade to a blank. Once all grades are changed for this course, them remove the course from the student's schedule.
3/21/2007 When adding students to memberships using the bulk method - if the membership has a fee - all fees are assigned to first student on list. This is set as a high priority bug.
1/19/2007 If you have multiple homerooms - the honor roll report (r303) will list the students more than once.
7/2/2006 PO Box gets cut of when printing labels. This is caused by the 1st Address line being too long. Currently, the only fix for this is to shorten Address Line 1 until the second address line fully appears. This bug is labeled as high priority based upon the workaround not being foolproof - if the street name can not be shortened.

FIRST
NAME SEARCH IN DASL
Did
you know you could sort by first name in the
FIND STUDENT AREA of DASL? All you
have to do is put a comma before the first
name (i.e. ,Jeffrey).
Try it, it really works!
Would like to thank
Becky from Southwest Licking for the tip!

QUESTION OF THE MONTH
|
QUESTION: What is the difference
between DROP or REMOVE when a class is being
deleted from a student's schedule?
|
ANSWER:
If a student
attends a class at least 1 day the class needs
to be dropped (DROP) - the end date would be the
last day the student attended the class. If the
student has not attended the class at all, they
can be removed (REMOVE)- the end date would be
the first day of class. If using prorated fees
this makes a difference. Check out more questions on

5/1/2008 - R407, R412, R301 - There is a bug with these reports, the primary building name is getting changed to the District name. If you cannot get any of these reports to run contact LACA. They will bulk update the primary building so you can run the report.
6/8/2007 - If you run the R700 for individual students and check improve performance and the grade level(s) you select aren' t the students grade level, then multiple copies print.
4/20/2007 - There has been some confusion about moving one student from one building to another within the District during the year. In SIS – you would use student transfer, but in DASL you withdraw the student. A document called Building_Withdraw has been added to the DASL Documentation under the Checklist tab. If you have any questions - please contact us.
2/23/2007 - Please note if you see labels being cut off, before sending in a ticket, go to your Adobe Acrobat Reader print settings, and set “Page Scaling” to "None" and un-check the “Auto-Rotate and Center” checkbox.
2/5/2007 - In the past we have coded Resident students elswhere in SIS (R Status) by withdrawing the student. In DASL there are a few changes: - change the EMIS Situation - change the calendar and assign the student to the non-attending calendar Note - Don't withdraw the student.
