-
Go to Control Panel on your PC. This is necessary
because you have to set up Exchange connections while Outlook is closed.
Click on the "MAIL" icon in the Control Panel.
-
Click the "E-mail Accounts..." button.

-
Choose "Add a new e-mail account", click Next.

-
Choose "Microsoft Exchange Server", click Next.
-
In the field "Microsoft Exchange Server", put in "exchange.laca.org".
In the Mailbox field, put in your username. Click "Check Name".

-
You will be prompted for a Username, Domain, and Password.
Use your username for the User Name, OURGANG for the Domain Name, and your
new e-mail password for the Exchange server. Click OK.

-
If you are successful logging into the Exchange server,
the server name will change to "Scooter" (the true Windows 2003 name of
our Exchange server) and the mailbox will change to your full name as
configured in Exchange. Click Next.

-
You will receive a warning message that mail will be
delivered to your Personal Folder on your local computer. This is
not what we want, but you must click "Yes" to continue. We will correct
this in step 13.

-
Click Finish.

-
Click the "E-Mail Accounts..." button to go back and
modify this new account.

-
Choose "View or change existing e-mail accounts".
Click Next.

-
Login in using your username, new e-mail password, and
domain of OURGANG when prompted.

-
Under "Deliver new e-mail to the following location",
change it to be "Mailbox - User Name" where username will be your name.
This tells Outlook to keep all of your information on LACA's server, not
on your local computer. Click Finish.

-
You will be warned that you are changing the location of
your folders, etc. Click OK.

-
Click Close to exit the mail setup window.

-
Start Outlook, and log in.

-
You should now be connected to the Exchange server, and
able to see your messages.
