Reflection Start Page

Reflection is LACA's standard tool for Telnet access to our OpenVMS mainframe, for applications such as USAS, USPS, SIS, and EMIS. LACA provides full support for licensed copies of Reflection purchased through LACA. Additional support for Reflection can be found at http:/www.wrq.com

The current available version of Reflection is V.8.00.076. If you have an older version than this loaded on your workstation, please contact your district's Technology Coordinator to get the latest copy. Technology Coordinators can obtain Version 8.00.076 from
LACA if your current copy is an older version.

No maintenance updates have been purchased for Reflection due to the high cost, so Version 8.00.076 is the highest version LACA will have available to the member districts.

NOTICE :   Reflection on the Web is dependent upon the JAVA platform in order to run. It is HIGHLY recommended that you install the latest version of JAVA before attempting to run Reflection on the Web.  Reflection on the Web will run on older versions of JAVA, but if you are unable to  print or certain portions of Reflection on the Web do not work, it is probably because you have an older version of JAVA on your computer.

JAVA is a free download available at
http://www.java.com

Reflection on the Web Quick Start Guide (PDF Format)
(Updated February 12, 2007)

Reflection on the Web allows secure access to LACA's OpenVMS system from outside the LACA network (from home, while out of town, etc).

Please do not use the web version of Reflection if you are at your workplace and you have a working copy of Reflection installed on your computer.   There are a limited number of Reflection on the Web licenses (only 10 people can be using it simultaneously).

NOTE: A single user can run multiple windows of Reflection on the Web, and it still only counts as one session if all of the windows are running on the same computer.
