LACA Support Contact Generic E-mail Addresses You may have noticed that LACA uses generic e-mail addresses as support contacts for the various services we support. Why do we do this, rather than just list the e-mail address of individual staff members who can help you? This is done for two reasons. 1. Faster response times to answer your questions. If you e-mail a specific staff member, and that person happens to be out of the office, it may be a while before they read your e-mail and give you assistance. By sending e-mail to the generic e-mail address, all LACA staff with expertise in that service area get a copy of your message. There is a hierarchy established as to who should answer these messages, and if the primary person is out of the office, the secondary person knows this and will answer your question. 2. Cross-training of LACA staff. As the primary support person answers questions, a response is carbon-copied to all other LACA staff who support that application. This lets our staff share knowledge among ourselves as well to better assist you in the future. When contacting LACA, please use the generic support addresses, as a benefit to yourself and our staff as well. Thanks! |
